Olga is with you. I suggest talking about fat fasting: what it is and what are the nuances.

What is it and when should you stick to it?

Eating huge amounts of carbohydrates every day makes you want to consume them in even larger quantities. Fat Fasting is a good solution to this problem, it will help to regain lost control over appetite and help to eliminate the need for a huge amount of carbohydrates in the daily diet.

The fat Fasting IDM (Intensive Dietary Management) program began to be used a couple of years ago, when faced with a middle-aged patient whose health condition deteriorated more and more due to the uncontrolled consumption of carbohydrates. Despite already having type 2 diabetes, he could not resist the daily temptations of fat and additives that were harmful to everyone's health. For him, the diet was tantamount to giving up food altogether.

Not a single attempt to endure the seven-day fast was successful. Moreover, new problems were added - his eyesight began to deteriorate at an incredible speed, but he still felt unbearable hunger, especially during hours of increased activity, without food he could hold out at most for 2 hours.

It was decided to act radically. The patient must starve, otherwise the consequences will be dire. But how to do that? It was necessary to convince the body to independently abandon the once desired carbohydrates.

The patient was asked to eat bacon and eggs for two weeks - an ideal flavor combination. He did not refuse, moreover, he was glad of such an offer, but his gaze was full of bewilderment, since this is the same cholesterol that has been a forbidden fruit throughout his life. In addition to eggs and bacon, avocados and olives were allowed.

It would seem sheer absurdity, but the results of the so-called diet have surpassed all expectations. Already on the fourth day, the state of health was simply wonderful, the once off-scale insulin level fell by more than 50%.

According to his story, for the first 2 days, he non-stop ate, but on the third day the hunger was barely noticeable, and then completely disappeared, then he could finally start starving, without even making an effort.

After that, in such cases, the fat fasting technique began to be actively used.

When to use fat fast?

If you cannot force your body to starve or just want to start eating healthy and balanced, then the fat fast program will come to your rescue. It will contribute to the rapid burning of fats and the elimination of unpleasant side symptoms, such as hungry fainting and headaches, since the body will be saturated with carbohydrates in the desired quantities and will be able to use them as energy resources.

But this method of nutrition cannot be resorted to constantly, at short intervals, and even more so continuously, it can damage your health. During a fat fast, the body lacks vital trace elements and protein, therefore, with prolonged adherence, it can harm, not benefit.

As a rule, 5 days of such a diet is enough, after which the body will no longer feel the need for such an amount of carbohydrates.

How to apply?

Fat fasting is all about maintaining a constant feeling of fullness. When hunger appears, it must be immediately satisfied with the following foods:

- eggs, bacon;

- fatty fish;

- olives;

- avocado;

- leafy greens poured with oil;

- oils (olive, butter, coconut);

- mayonnaise (natural, based on healthy oils);

- spices;

- broth;

- coffee Tea.

It is worth limiting your intake of foods high in carbohydrates, protein and low in fat so that you get the majority of your calories from fat.

Foods to stop consumption while dieting:

- flour: bread, pasta, cookies, cereals;

- cereals: oats, rice and so on;

- legumes: beans, lentils, beans and others;

- fruits and vegetables;

- low-fat dairy products: skim milk, low-fat cheese, low-fat yogurt, and so on;

- lean meat and fish: lamb, chicken, beef, cod, etc.

- sweets: chocolate, candy, and so on;

- sugary drinks: juices, energy drinks.

During a fat fast, the diet should be composed entirely of foods with a very high fat content, as most of the calories should come from fat. Foods that are high in carbohydrates, protein and low in fat should be limited and ideally eliminated from the diet.

Why does it work?

The essence of fat fasting is the minimum amount of calories and the maximum amount of fat. People who adhere to it actually consume about 1000-1200 calories per day, 80-90% of them are fats.

When you follow this diet, your body is in a calorie deficit, which depletes your stored carbohydrate stores, you go into ketosis and burn more fat for energy.

The fat content of the consumed products and the limited choice of them contributes to the rapid saturation of the body.

Surely you have an example from life when you ate something in such large quantities that after that months or even years you did not feel the desire to repeat the same massive consumption of this or that product.

This is the reason why it is worth sticking to the limited number of types of products suggested above.

It is possible that for the first few days you will eat almost without a break, let it not scare you, soon the body will be full and will completely refuse to eat this kind of food, and this is what we achieved.

Although the fat fast program does not actually include the fasting process, it promotes further abstinence from food, gradually bringing the body into the biological state of ketosis.

In this state, the body's main source of energy is fat, not carbohydrates. During ketosis, the liver breaks down fatty acids into molecules that are used later as a source of energy for your body.

Learn to listen to your body, give it what it so desires and then it will stop demanding portions in such volumes and trips to the refrigerator will certainly decrease, your body will become healthier, and your general condition will become much better.
